MasterRex862 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 (edited) I thought all i9s were extreme editions? was I mistaken? With that kind of pricing, they may just not be applying the EE branding. They're going to be 'extreme' enough with those kind of specs. Also, as a wise troll once said in reference to the gulftown: They are going run 4500MHz @ .8v (stock), Overclock to 7+GHz and cost $89.99 and come with free Motherboard fitted with 12GB of DDR4-3000 We just don't know the truth yet. @ RO GamerZ: Can you provide a valid source? Sorry OP, didn't mean to call you out. Edited November 26, 2009 by MasterRex862
road-runner Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 There is more than one version of it so I hear, I read they will release the EE unlocked first for around $1,200.

road-runner Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 How many are you going to buy Dave I might buy one if I can sell enough stuff to buy it, otherwise the 920s do just fine. I figure for the 1200.00 that cpu cost I can build 3 maybe 4 920 complete rigs, I already have 9-i7 rigs crunching. I need to sell some of these quads, a GTX 295, maybe some GTS 250s, 9600 GSO, etc. I guess I need to get off my butt and take some pictures and get them up for sale... MasterRex862 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Google is your friend There are CPU-Z shots floating around That's not a good reason to not cite a source! I expect more from OCC members than I do other message boards. This site used to be the premier place for hardcore PC enthusiaists, and I really hope we can retain that.
