Theres the usual dilema of Intel or AMD, but ofcourse if you want the cream of the crop it would be Core i7 (is it still?) and AMD/ATI has made some huge.. HUGE advancements in your absence Its either Core i7, i5 or AMD Phenom II these days, take your pick, nearly all will guarantee to impress!
