Andrewr05 Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Is there anything specific you need the driver for? In all my years of using computers I don't think I've ever installed a driver for a monitor...

00stevo Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Well the only reason is that Gears of war doesnt apply vsync.Ive tried everything apart from putting my monitor driver in.
airman Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Well the only reason is that Gears of war doesnt apply vsync.Ive tried everything apart from putting my monitor driver in. Vsync is applied by the graphics card, and is only hardware dependent (not software controlled) of the monitor.
00stevo Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Yeah i know that.GOW has a problem with vsync. If you run fraps with it,it goes up to 62fps,when it should be capped at 60.This messes with the timings of vsync(according to GOW forums). Its weird cos CCC sees my monitor correctly, but windows doesnt.
