punkinator Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Hello I have a: MSI MS-7525 Intel E2220 @ 2.4Ghz 3GB DDR2 800 In BIOS there is nowhere to change the FSB? I tried SetFSB (program) but could not find the right ppl. The motherboard has an Intel G31 Express Chipset if I am correct. The BIOS is Pheniox Award BIOS (something like that). Please help. Art@zzie Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Most likely you are locked out of those settings due to it being proprietary. I had an HP /Asus A8M2N-LA that you could not OC.
punkinator Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 =[ Well thats gay. So theres no way around it? I can't use SetFSB to do it?
Marne_Aeok Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 hey sorry you cant edit your settings due to being a factory system it happens to us all at first lol. i know you probably didn't mean anything by it but in the future please refrain from using that term (gay) to denote something negative. i myself am guilty of it. im straight but recently learned 2 of my best friends since grade school are gay. they apparently been keeping it from me for about 10 years lol. all good i love them and support them till the grave. i wish them well
punkinator Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 "please refrain from using that term (gay)" Ok sorry about that =[. So is it the motherboard that stops you from OCing? So if that was replaced you could?
scr4wl Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 So is it the motherboard that stops you from OCing? So if that was replaced you could? Yes But if you'll replace the MOBO you may want to replace a few other things. Not the least of which is your Heat sink.
