Chikenfingy Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 (edited) Ok so heres the story I get Far Cry 2, it worked great with the Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS but now i have upgraded to the Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT and ill be #$$ if the thing wont play. I have a Olevia 32'' LCD HDTV with a Samsung DVI/HDMI cable and it now doesnt work. Keeps saying INVALID FORMAT!!!!![/font] SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!! Lackadaisical Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 You can change the resolution by editing the xml file for the game. Go to Documents\My Games\Far Cry 2 and in that folder should be a file called GamerProfile.xml. Open it with wordpad, and look at the third line, here you can change the resolution. You want to change ResolutionX="Enter your resolution here" ResolutionY="Enter your resolution here". Make sure you set it to something your screen supports, you can also set the refresh rate here as well. Hope this fixes your problem. I would suggest trying a resolution like 1024x768 just to get in game and a refresh rate of 60. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
