Yeah the kits really do suck. The only one I've ever seen do any good are the ones that are like $400 and over. I say at that point just build your own. You'll be much happier.

The only "kits" that are recommended (at least that I recall) are the ones from Petra's Tech Shop.

They aren't crappy all in one setups, they offer pre-picked kits which would essentially be just as good a what you would pick out if you bought it all separate.

That Swiftech setup is there too, it probably isn't that bad compared to other AIO kits but you would still probably be better off getting a custom it...

Really though, unless you plan on spending about $300US I wouldn't bother with water...

Some kits are great, swiftech makes good stuff so I think a swiftech kit is a good idea but you might want to go with a 2x 120 radiator. (Which they do have in one kit configuration) Just avoid Koolance and ThermalTake when it comes to water cooling and try to get parts from good companies like Swiftech, DTek, etc. A decent CPU loop can be had for under $200 USD so don't worry.

Just to verrify, not a bad option. (the kit the OP linked to)

pump; to move water from reservoir to water block to radiator.

radiator; help dissipate heat from water that comes from water block.

water block; cools cpu by transfering heat from the chip to the water.

reservoir; stores water.

its easy actually..........

The block looks good

I have that pump with out the res on it

I would get a bigger rad, just to be safe and in case you want to upgrade your loop in the future

Check some of the prices for Tygon tubing.

As far as sizes go, I use 1/2" ID tubing :)

As you can tell i'm new to watercooling......so many questions

1.Are these pump+res in 1's good/safe??

2. My case has holes at back for tubes, not sure if to have system inside the case or outside. If outside is it worth getting something like this External system

I know external is a bit more expencive but does it work ??

Thanks again for all your help :thumbs-up:
