rud3bwoy Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 (edited) So while playing cod 4 my system shut down,i guess due to the north bridge hitting 90 c,i turned off the sensor so it wont do this,is this safe?m other temps are fine but the nb please help thanks! i noticed the nb temp was at 85 c so i am guessing it had hit 90 c sometime causing the entire system to just shut down by it self... Asus rampage,i checked the nb with everest and it was reporting 85 c...so i am guessing it had hit 90 to shut down
rud3bwoy Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 well could be that or unstable over clock at 3.6 noticed some weird bsod so clocked back at 3.5 when i had no issues so lets see what the deal is
AR-fatality Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 I would suggest u to back down ur overclock. NBrigde Temps around 80 degrees might reduce ur systems lifespan greatly.

Zertz Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 (edited) Stock voltage on X48 is 1.2V, so yeah 1.6V for 24/7 without water or solid air cooling is asking alot from that poor little chip 62 still sounds kind of hot, have you tried to have fan blow some air on it? chuck4456 Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 That BIOS tells you that you need better NB cooling anyway, when you go to 1.60v or above.
rud3bwoy Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 well my processor is water cooled 24/7 use...but 62 idle right now seems fine i did some research and the nb tends to get warm around this area so i have read
rud3bwoy Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 so since it is stable at 1.44 at 3.5 ghz should i try to lower it a tad more or keep it there?
