Are CoolerMaster power supplies any good?

I'm currently searching for a good PSU for my new case build. Does anyone here know how well the CoolerMaster PSUs perform?

 

I'm currently eying the Real Power M1000.

i had a 550 real power for my expert board seemed to be quite good no real problems its powering my nf2 sista atm and doing quite well

I've heard good things about them. It's definitely not a crappy generic brand. Nice modular design and shorter than most 1000W PSU's.

I knew they make good cases; but I wasn't aware that they made PSUs as well. They looked like high quality but I just wanted to see what you guys think.

After searching around it seems they are of good quality, efficient and quiet. With it having six 12 volt rails you may want to shoot an email to tech at coolermaster and get a little info on load balancing requirements, also see if you can get a diagram of which leads come off of which rail.

There are two different types of Coolermaster....the Extreme Power series which are pieces of junk and the Real Power series, that actually are quite good....you just have to look at the prices to have an idea...extreme power series sell for as low as $30 sometimes, same wattage real power ones sell for around $100...so there's your answer

In the meantime I ended up getting a SilverStone Strider ST1000.

 

I needed a modular PSU and the Coolermaster RealPower M1000 wasn't available so I had to look for a good alternative.
