old_geekster Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Well, I guess I live right. Shortly after making the post above, I used MS Update. Of course, there it was --- SP3. I couldn't just let it sit there, could I? Nope! So, I hit the button and zap it began the update to SP3. I am now typing with my new updated system. Glory be. wevsspot Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I just finished installing the stand alone SP3 package on my primary rig earlier this afternoon after uninstalling and replacing the beta I was using. So far nothing much to report. Occasional DCOM and RASMAN errors are all gone and system seems to be running fine. I'll report on any bugs that I find. Thasp Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Keep these Vista observations and recommendations coming! It's apparent that no matter how hard we throw up our own personal walls, that Vista WILL become the predominate OS as we move forward. As for me, I'll keep my XP Pro Systems for as long as possible, but it is apparent that I'm only delaying the inevitable. lolz vista is bunk. didn't people say that about windows ME? even regular consumers held onto 98 se for dear life..
