UncleDavid and I had a BPA competition last week, we saw we each other a few times, shook hands on stage for the awards, and texted a few times. I kicked is butt too in the PC Troubleshooting test. soundx98 Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Blue Aqua invited me over to his place last Saturday morning. Had a dang good time when he had stopped by my place about six weeks ago. We share (like most crazies) many similar interests. "It's my turn to dismember the hitchhiker." "No, it's my turn" "Mine" "No, mine" "Let's not argue, maybe we should blow something up? "How about we freeze the sheet out of something?" "OOOOOOOOH, I like that idea!, You got any Liquid Nitrogen?" "Dude, I got a HUGE container of it! "OMG, Dude, I LOVE it! I'm on the way. Don't start without me!" And so the story of the chip that had it's azz frozen begins I'd seen pics of BlueAqua's WC rig before. He's in the process of "tweaking" it but I had some time to check the paint job. Good lord. The paint job was incredible. Just stunning. My camera just can't do it justice. I should mention these shots were taken in his work area. Great house with a couple of PCs, laptop, and large HTDV in his "office". Ya, you'd like it a lot. Over in the corner we see his music and vid server (E2160 and lebenty-seven HDDs.) In the far left corner is a Silverstone TJ-07 he is planning the mod on. An ASUS board and a DFI UT P35 below it on the right of the photo. A couple of pics of the phase toys (Chilly1 compressor). Blue Aqua did some nice upgrades including a new enclosure for it. Currently doing a sleeving repair on it. You can see the Copper pot for the CPU and one of the GPU pots on the left side. Just something about precision milled copper that gives me wood. We'll be using the Thermos to pour the LN2. First thing we did is check the ambient temp before the probe was connected to the processor lock (edge of the E8400 IHS). He put together a very nifty tech-station that housed PSU and drives. Mobo on top with adjustable height and pre-drilled bolt patterns for the various boards CPU socket layout. Mounted the nekid mobo and we're ready to go You sharp eyed nerds. Yes, that is a ASUS Commando. A 965 chipset. Extremely wicked combination of components here.
