Guitar Hero II !!!!! (plus a warning)

well, I got Guitar Hero II for the PS2 today, and nabbed a wireless guitar to go with it

 

lets just say, without going into detail, that I AM IN A COMPLETE AND UTTER RAGE RIGHT NOW

 

just got home from my THIRD trip to the EB Games and finally came home with a wired guitar

 

first wireless = whammy bar was busted, . rattling around broken inside, the first 3 buttons didn't work with Guitar Hero II (but worked fine with the first one)

 

second wireless = whammy bar was fine, but no stickers/instructions, when I pulled the battery cover off to put batteries in, there were 4 mismatched AA batteries already in it, and again, it didn't work with Guitar Hero II (but again, worked fine with the first Guitar Hero)

 

this time...we just got a wired SG guitar for it...I would totally avoid the wireless guitar for Guitar Hero II until they fix this problem

 

see you in about 3 weeks ahahhahahahah

 

 

PS: if you have not played Guitar Hero...you don't even have a clue what you are missing out on...I'm extremely happy that this game came out....its sort of a revolution in gaming as far as I am concerned.

And we didn't even bother with the wireless, more "realistic" anyways.

my gf keeps hinting at me to get the game. she says it is awesome. Maybe after this great review of the game i will save up for a month and get it for her....

 

that $10 would have gotten me two nights of drunken debauchery at a keg party here on campus....maybe just one night if i brought the gf to the party.

momma and i played some co-op last night and about 5 songs tonight...and it is %#@$#!@#$ awesome.

 

She'll play bass/rythym on easy, and I'll play guitar/lead on medium...its just awesome, especially if you have say digital audio and a widescreen tv lol...i just can't explain it any better than....this must be the BEST party game EVER INVENTED (yes, get 2 guitars and crank it up at the next party, whether you are 19 drinking illegally at college, or 38 and your college football team plays out of town this saturday....get together and play this game.

 

 

I'd happen to venture that if George Bush and Kim Jong-Il played Guitar Hero II together, they could learn to be friends.

I am a huge gopher hockey fan!!!! I witnessed the riots after we won the national championship 4 or 5 years ago. and I was incredably depressed when we were the first number one seed ever to lose to the number 4 seed in the frozen four.

 

Also, just to brag a little bit, my gf bought me a ps2, ffX, and GTA Vice City for my birthday recently. I guess the least i could do is get guitar hero and a few guitars. do you suggest i get the first or second one to start off with?

well, the first xmas momma and I were together (about 3 or 4 months) she bought me an Xbox and began playing with me regularly (mostly NHL 2k4 hockey)

 

I suggest you get Guitar Hero II first so you can get in on the good co-op with the gf

 

you can do head-to-head with your buddies, but unless she suggests head-to-head, stick to co-op (you don't want to be like typical little high school/college boy that dreams of his gf playing stuff like Counter-Strike but you always play vs and whip her soundly every single time...she'll not want to play with you much after that...so always go for games that have good co-op mode because it's easy to find man-friends to play video games with...it's rare to find a woman that loves to play video games with you...that also wants to be your gf haha)

 

get Guitar Hero I for fooling around and party stuff, but II is the one for you and her (and parties with your drunken buddies!)

My local Best Buy has GH II on demo, I have never not seen someone playing it, half the time I walk around the mall for an hour or more and when I go back through to search for my truck in the parking lot the same people are still playing it.
