hehe ;)

i thought only guys had girls on their desktop...

yeah.. charmed get back to work and update that list ;)

i tried hard to get 760/860 stable on my cards, but the screen starts to flicker when the performance test loads and the score is pretty crappy when i let it run that way. wish i could play around with the pci-e frequency to get those clocks stable but there´s no such option in my bios.

WE HAVE OUR WINNERS! Hah, nice run there mates. You sure you got AA in on there? Kidding, just my poor little xtx whimpering in the corner.

I think we'll just be sitting back and watching those two ravage the 'big leagues'

  • 5 months later...

Huh... went to find this since I've run some tests on this computer and wanted to post them to and  IT'S GONE!

Well it's BACK!

Welcome to the F.E.A.R. Performance Test Charts, where you can come to brag/post, compare and check out others Performance Test Results!

I will include a more detailed guide on how to do this for those that haven't used the game or don't have it (you can download F.E.A.R. Multiplayer Demo and the Performance Test is included with that and it's FREE).

The rules are simple:

1. In order to be posted in the "Normal Performance Test Charts", all you have to do is run the F.E.A.R. Performance Test and get a screen capture of the results screen and post it here. The required settings are simple, set both Computer and Graphics to MAXIMUM (see the example of mine in the next post for the Normal Performance Test Chart). You also need to post AS A MINIMUM your CPU type and speed, RAM type (and speed/timings if you want to), your motherboard model (not required but would like to have it) & your video card type and clocks (GPU & RAM).

2. In order to be posted in the "Big Leagues - Extreme Performance Test Charts", you have to run the F.E.A.R. Performance Test and get a screen capture of the results screen with the settings set to Maximum THEN change the resolution to 1600x1200 (DO NOT modify any other settings). You also need to post AS A MINIMUM your CPU type and speed, RAM type (and speed/timings if you want to), your motherboard model (not required but would like to have it) & your video card type and clocks (GPU & RAM).

3. If you're insane and you like making your computer have a heart attack, you can do the Big Leagues test but do it with 8xAA enabled (in your video card controls, override the application with 8xAA). When you post your results, make SURE you say if you ran it with 8xAA, as they will be listed in a separate section of the Big Leagues chart.

4. All results are ranked based on their AVERAGE FRAMES PER SECOND result. If there is a tie, the person with the higher MINIMUM FRAMES PER SECOND is the winner. If there is a tie between both of those (not likely to happen), the person with the higher MAXIMUM FRAMES PER SECOND will be the absolute winner. If by some miracle two people have the same result in all three, they will be marked as being tied on the chart.

5. Don't be dumb and run it with VSync on;) LOL If you run it with VSync on please note that in your entry posting, and I MIGHT make a separate chart for VSync people, but I'd prefer to keep it short and sweet the way it is now.

If you have any questions, ask me! I will post a complete guide on how to do this for someone that's never run F.E.A.R. before (shame on you if you haven't, it's a great FPS) soon.

And remember, no matter what system you have, feel free to run at least the Normal test, I want to have a very comprehensive list of all the ranging performances throughout different machines!

Let the games begin!

I'm looking forward to someone dethroning me with proper cooling (or Ultras or somethin' LOL) quickly. ;) I don't care if you have a 6600GT, post your scores! I want this chart full, fast lol

The only F.E.A.R. with the preformance test is Multiplayer Demo. F.E.A.R. Combat nor single player demo had the preformance test option. Combat-mp is a huge file 451MB. Now that I have it dl, might as well try it out. I'll run some tests with the new E6850. I'm just hav'en some fun with in now, nothing stable but I can run benchies @ 4.0Ghz. :)
