Praz Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I won't vote since I do both on my systems. Air cooling the IHS stays on. With water it comes off before the processor gets mounted the first time. Water just screams for a naked core.

centy Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 My 4000+ is getting it as soon as I get a dual core CPU. If all goes well I'll do it to the dual core aswell.

Branjo Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Still on, not much is to be gained by taking it off. Plus I bought extra warranty from the egg so im not gonna waste that anytime soon
General Septem Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 It's on for the moment. If I get a bolt-through I'll probably take it off, but I'm not sure how I'd go about doing this with stock or the SI-128 I intend to get.
