for my opteron170, which shld i use ? prime 95(2 copies). sp2004(2 copies) or orthos??

if you want to make entries into the database(s), the rules call for dual Prime95 for any socket939 platform.

please keep in mind that the Overclocking Database and Stock Speed Database now require either SP2004 (single core) or Orthos (dual core).

Prime95 cannot be used for DB entries!

Any Idea's how I set up for a A Quad core with Orthos I tryed 2 diferent Ortho's at the same time thinking that Ide get first 1and2 then I started another Ortho's and got 1 and 2 again. Dang it I was hoping to get 3and 4 but that didnt work out. BA

I haven't tried Orthos on the quad that I'm testing, but you can always run Prime95 with 4 instances. The mods are debating exactly which program(s) to use for the new quads that are becoming popular.

Praz has also listed a new version of Prime95 in the rules that will run on 4 cores.

Thank's Angry I should have done a search before I started asking qusetion's after searching around I found that Prime-95 ver 25.4 work's just fine on Quad core's. Or mabey I should say it work's just fine on mine. BA

it doesn't work on AMD cpu's though...waiting for Praz to find out when the new version of it will be out that does work on both Intel and AMD ;)
