supershanks Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 is the backing plate securely installed & lined up correcyly with the back pnel plugs like the ps2 connector. i'm wondering if something is shorting out when you mount your mobo in your case. supershanks Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 wel it's a pita but i'd strip it back again & test that your keyboard still works "bare bones" - then try in case again but ensure you check:- there are no extra standofs screwed in the case , & that all standoffs align to the screwho;es in mobo. the back panel cover (the bit of tinfoil ) can usually be mounted into the case b4 the mobo & just check that all the connects pass through the holes ok. supershanks Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 awhir this thing is sure fighting u check connections of hard drive power & data are u using a sata power lead or molex - don't use both. sometimes the sata power plug can seem connected but isn't. wevsspot Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Awhir, at this point your gonna have to invest in a decent digital mm and find out where you are shorting at in your case. Make sure that your motherboard stand offs are high enough to prevent any grounding of any of the pins or screws (including cpu heatsink and fan) from the case.
