m/b won't start

what could be the problem with my m/b when i connect just the 24 pin connector

it starts running but when i add the 12v supply the red lights flash on then off and nothing happens :confused:

You have a 24 pin, an 8 pin and a 4 pin floppy connector. All connected?

Your not connecting one connector at a time with power applied, are you?

i connect the 24 pin connector and the board (nb chip fan ) starts then i add w/power off the 12v 8 pin connector and restart ,but nothing.

There are 3 power connections on the Expert.

And your post does sound like you are connecting while power is applied.

I hope that isn't the case.

so r u saying that if i connect olny the 24 pin connector it will start , but if i connect the 24 + the 8 pin it will not start w/o the third power connected ? :confused: that makes no sence, and yes power is off when connections r made

turn your system off. connect all the power connectors (the 24pin, 8 pin and floppy) then turn the system on. its kinda wierd having that floppy connection, but it is necessary

trid it w/the same results, i think the board is dead
