Montol Posted September 26, 2003 Posted September 26, 2003 Nice one. How did you attach the clear panels?
hardwarefreek Posted September 26, 2003 Posted September 26, 2003 (edited) Clear sealant! Applied to case, placed window on & weighed it down for 2 hours! I wanted a clean finish that I coluld remove easily if I scratched it or wanted to mod it further, I used pop rivets on my (crap) case & it looked too "industrial" Holes were cut with a Jigsaw & fine toothed metal blade & hand finished with a fine file, I used a coin to draw round the case lock as a guide to space the pencil line evenly round the curve, then removed the lock to cut the panel, it worked pretty well. THe rest was done on thick card as a template adjusted, cut out & traced onto the panel., the CD/RW etc had the front panels removed & sprayed the same colour as the case & switches installed to switch the cathodes & fan speed. EDIT: This was done 4 months ago, I WILL (sometime) get the cables tidied etc & maybe a window etch. I actually had an offer fron www.overclock.co.uk to make windows mods for them but, it was going to be too expensive to make it viable. hardwarefreek Posted September 27, 2003 Posted September 27, 2003 (edited) Thanks! Only a few days, mostly watching paint dry! The cutting & window plexi was done in one evening. My fave bit is seeing the window fan cooling that OC/ed Gfx card! Edited September 27, 2003 by hardwarefreek
