deeselcyde Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 I got an EVGA 7800 gt when it first came out. The stock frequencies are 440/1070. I wanna get another to sli and the standard evga now is 470/1100. If i get this card, will i be able to sli it? And if i do, will i be able to overclock my video cards? Kakarot Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 educated guess here... as long as its the same card... yes you can overclock it, but the slower one may be the factor that would stop you from a great overclock....
mcq_01 Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 I think you can but will only be at the speed of the slower card, the newer nvidia drivers are pretty flexable now compared to what they were, you should be fine.
baaj Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Try coolbits to get them running at the same clock speeds. You should be able to OC that older card to around 470 without much trouble. Also, I belive that both cards should be running the same bios.
