The Best Antivirus/Firewall solution?

Avast is not bad I just started using it. Although Bit defender is very impressive.

this is what I have used for about 5+ years now:

 

Norton Corporate Anti-Virus + NAT Firewall hardware router (D-Link, Netgear, Linksys, SMC, etc)

 

I never use IE other than for windowsupdate and Creative audio card updates...other than that, I only use Firefox

 

Do you have words about NVIDIA ActiveArmor firewall?

I wonder about activating that NVIDIA ActiveArmor firewall in addition to my McAfee sw firewall. Do you have any thoughts on that?

 

ActiveArmor is supposedly a dedicated area of cpu silicon, & doesn't put much work onto the AMD cpu.

 

I just woke up to the fact that the router provided by Verizon DSL service only firewalls outbound, not inbound traffic. I need better protection.

 

Wonder if ActiveArmor would save me from having to go buy another router having a firewall.

My advise is stay away from zonealarm...

It caused me ALOT of trouble, and i ended up buying a new PSU & reinstalling windows because of it... it made my new computer lag and crash...

 

But i need advise myself what to use now... i'm so lost

Currently using NOD32 and sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall, which is slighty less hungry for resources than the Kaspersky and Kerio combo I've always used before.
