Guest scott Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 this is what I have used for about 5+ years now: Norton Corporate Anti-Virus + NAT Firewall hardware router (D-Link, Netgear, Linksys, SMC, etc) I never use IE other than for windowsupdate and Creative audio card updates...other than that, I only use Firefox Do you have words about NVIDIA ActiveArmor firewall? I wonder about activating that NVIDIA ActiveArmor firewall in addition to my McAfee sw firewall. Do you have any thoughts on that? ActiveArmor is supposedly a dedicated area of cpu silicon, & doesn't put much work onto the AMD cpu. I just woke up to the fact that the router provided by Verizon DSL service only firewalls outbound, not inbound traffic. I need better protection. Wonder if ActiveArmor would save me from having to go buy another router having a firewall. How do you see it? centy Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Currently using NOD32 and sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall, which is slighty less hungry for resources than the Kaspersky and Kerio combo I've always used before.
