bigred Posted August 18, 2003 Posted August 18, 2003 oh god, i was looking for a dual opteron board with AGP and a full array of PCI slots this afternoon. and ran across the new tyan single cpu without agp board. emailed the reseller and asked them how exactly this boad is both opteron and athlon 64 ready. this is the response I got. "I am sorry AMD just emailed me that I am not aloud to speak with you on this until the launch sorry." this is how they advertised it on pricewatch "Tyan S2850G2N Tomcat K8S DDR ECC GbLAN/Video (Athlon 64 or Opteron) Retail-Instock" suddenly thier website omitts the part about the athlon 64... hmm I'd say they got caught misleading customers website Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
