NyCUnDaGroUnD Posted August 10, 2003 Posted August 10, 2003 Id have to say in the following order: 1. ASUS P4C800-E 2. EPOX 4PCA3+ 3. Abit IC7-G 4. ASUS P4P800 When max 3 comes out it will claim the 1st or 2nd spot.

acecafe Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 The fastest is the MSI Neo2-FIS2R. Check out Tom's Hardware. The Gigabyte is the best overall. I just bought the MSI for $166 shipped UPS 2nd air.
Pendragon Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 Actually I was have to say that the p4p800 actually out performs the p4c800 in a majority of benchmarks. First hand i have the p4p800
Pitbull Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 Actually I was have to say that the p4p800 actually out performs the p4c800 in a majority of benchmarks I have the P4C800 and P4P800 and I really do like the P4P800 more (it was also 50 bucks cheaper). Inu_Yasha Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 I have the IS-7 and IC-7 and I prefer the IS-7; I was thinking about getting the P4P800 but for $30 more and not much of an advantage I didn't want to pay that much...
steve adams Posted August 15, 2003 Posted August 15, 2003 the fastest gigabyte and MSI boards, that is what I would buy, bang for the buck is unreal....
acecafe Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 The MSI Neo2-FIS2R has a load of problems. I installed it and it wouldn't boot. So, I went to the MSI forum and discovered this board doesn't like GF4 graphics cards, memory has to be selected from the list on the website. I called Tech support and they told me to check it out on a bench and if it still won't boot, it's bad. Yeah, like I have a fully equiped test bench. I'm sending it back and I ordered the Asus P4P800 Deluxe. I won't buy another motherboard without checking the manufacturer's website. I could have saved myself a lot of trouble. ace
xpandapuss Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 ASUS P4C800 and ABIT IC7-G are what I'll recommend, but the P4C800 will be fitted into my rig very soon....
