Rabbi Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 Very nice results dude. Just out of curiousity... how does your RAM perform? I've heard a few rumours that the new OCZ PC4000 Platinum 3-3-2-8 RAM is based on the same chips as yours You might want to see if they run 3-3-2-8 timings at your 246MHz RAM speed.... learners permit Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Its at 2.5,3,3,11@246 /183div. actual mem spd is 210 and change. Not bad considering its 2X1 gigs and this thing flatout flys in this board. I'm wearin an ear to ear smile for the last 2 days. Rabbi Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Try running the RAM at 1:1 (200 divider) with these timings 3-3-2-8 Apparently those modules can often run 250 @ 2.5-3-2-8 too
learners permit Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Thats a no go 1 stick tops at 238 the other at 248 but thnx anyway.
Rabbi Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 What voltage are you giving the memory? [EDIT] Try these Timings
learners permit Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 I believe those results were achieved with another revision of these sticks called CE-6 for the 6 layer pcb construction to elininate crosstalk. My sticks are CE-5 and thus will not achieve the same speed but thanks again.
Rabbi Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 I'm not sure about this but I think the 5 and 6 is their nanosecond rating... in which case the 5 will be faster than the 6 Also, ALL memory modules use a 6 layer PCB these days... maybe not all but a HUGE % do and I'm sure yours are 6 layer aswell [EDIT] From the Infineon Site CE-5 is rated at DDR400 3-3-3 CE-6 is rated at DDR333 2-3-3 / 2.5-3-3 CE-5 is better

navyman04 Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 hey rabbi do you know how many volts are used to get that speed at those timings?
Rabbi Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 hey rabbi do you know how many volts are used to get that speed at those timings? It's from this post... Seems Ryder is using 2.65v. I just checked on the product page and they are rated at 2.8v and warranted up to 3.0v
