Update: I am currently testing my sticks at 275 MHz @ 3-4-4-8 @ 2.71v and is running Memtest86's full test just fine after 2 hrs (still need to leave it overnight). I am still currently testing, but it's a very good indication, since I'd usually see problems arise within the 1st pass (which takes an hour). It's on to pass 2 and beyond before I go to bed. :)

 

Also, even if it fails futher down the line, I am confident that it would at least do 270 MHz, which is enough for me.

 

I am using G.SKILL's 2x 1GB HZ memory, btw. Thanks again, Sharp, for the guide and recommendations!

:) I finally found BL2kit6464Z402:

Crucial Ballistix 1GB(2x512) PC3200 2-2-2-6

But I have a question:

what's the difference between BL6464Z402.8T (8 chip models) & BL6464Z402.16TG (16 chip models)?

 

As you know BL2kit6464Z402 (1GB modules) consist of two BL6464Z402 (512MB Modules) but the question is this:

Which of them are better: 16chip or 8chip? :confused:

Voltes-5, these ones should be ok.

The 256MB modules will have 8 chips.

 

So BL6464Z402.8T will be a 256MB stick and BL6464Z402.16TG will be a 512MB stick.

It's official - my max freq is 275 MHz at 2.71v for my G.Skill HZ sticks! memtested overnight, no issues. That means whatever my CPU can OC to, these sticks should be able to keep up at 1:1 ratio.

 

BTW, timing is 3-4-4-8, and when I find my final freq I will use with my CPU at 1:1, I will try to reduce timing. Currently, it looks like I will be at 262 Mhz x10 (2.62 GHz CPU)

So BL6464Z402.8T will be a 256MB stick and BL6464Z402.16TG will be a 512MB stick.

 

Sorry to say this Sharp, but you're wrong. why? because I'm looking at my two BL6464Z402.8TD at present & I have 1GB of ram. these two modules have only 8chip on them but they are 512MB each one. Sorry............:sad:

 

Then can I cave a question?

my SPD timing of crucial ballistix is 2-2-2-8 on CPU-Z not 2-2-2-6. how is yours?

I mean can it be 2-2-2-8 because it's 8chip or all the models' SPD timing are 2-2-2-8 not 2-2-2-6. :confused:

I have never seen a BallistiX module with Micron 5B-G chips that is 512MB and 8 chips.

 

Can I see? (take a pic of the top/sides) :)

 

You missed out the D in your first post, BL6464Z402.8TD

Of course between PQI3200-1024DBH(timing 2.5-3-3-7) & PQI3200-1024DBL( timing 2-3-2-5) the PQI3200-1024DBL is better because of its low timing. But from PQI the best 1GB PC3200 Dual Channel Module that you can get is:

PQI3200-1024DBU (timing 2-2-2-5)
