and now here is the kicker, I was able to memtest #8 thru 10 passes and then run full memtest thru 30+ passes over 8+ hours with NO errors. I got into winXP and then ran prime on small FFT's for over 5 hours no errors and I was recommended to try blend in prime. I tried that and it BSOD'd on me the first time so I changed the tref. Tried again and got it to run for 20s and the it "ILLEGAL SUMOUT" on me. I also tried 2064 and prime just stopped on me at 30s. I have searched thru a ton of threads both here and at other forums for settings that I can use for a base to get a start and then "tweak it to my system's likings. I have yet to find MY system's likings and I am getting too frustrated here so now I am asking for the help of these forums. If there is any other info that you would like to know just ask and all provided help is greatly appreciated.

I would start by setting the skew's and drive strengths to auto. I don't know what your temps are but if they are very warm at all your probably at about the top esp. if you want to run prime. Have you tried 11x250 to see how that does? It may want a little bit more volts but cooling takes priority.

well I have been playin around with memtest and have found out that my ram won't do 2-2-2-5 at stock settings w/ 1T w/o errors. It will however do the above 2T with NO errors. I dunno whut the prob is now but this is so frustrating that it is not even funny anymore. I can't even get this system setup to run stock and it crashes and BSOD's winXP. Somebody help me b4 this thing goes out for the garbage.

EDIT: I am now on the 510-1 BIOS.

hello??? any help here??? I am guessing it is the BIOS that is doing this behaviour but I am too depressed about this rig right now that I only work on it a bit everyday. Does someone have/know of any base STOCK settings with TCCD that I could even get this thing running completely stock??? Seeing as how all I hear from a couple others that I talk to that also have this board, they say that most of the settings still need to be set in order for the board to run stock. If this is the truth, then I think that DFI really needs to go "back to the basics" with some of this BIOS stuff in order to make the board just a bit more user friendly. Now I am not trying to "knock" the board or the way that DFI is doing whut they do out of my frustration over this board but this is not too realistic for the average user looking for top quality components. Enuf said about that tho and I really do need some help with this prob, thanks.

there anyone else out there that can lend some feedback about this?? I am planning on werkin on my rig a bit tomorrow seen as that is all the time that I am allowed for now. I have a bunch of settings and sorts printed out but like I already know, every memory, cpu, mobo, and whut not is all different and different settings might suit my rig better than the settings that others put out there. I just would really like to have this thing up and running so that the money and time I have spent on it are not rotting away in the basement being IDLE. Thanks again guys....

Make a signature bro so we know what your components are...see the rules, or use mine as a guideline.

See my thread here for lots of settings

http://www.bleedinedge.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10481

Lots of problems it seems getting TCCD and Venice ships to play well above 260htt or so. If your mem doesn't pass memtest at stock settings, then your mem is probably to blame.

I have OCZ Platinum pc4800, its guarente3ed to run at that speed, but the ocz guy did tell me they were having problems with the TCC5 and venice, he said the venice controllert did not like the super fast speeds. I may have to return this memory to newegg for some OCZ pc4200.

JB it might be that your board just does'nt like the ram.Had a similar problem as your's with some Corsair XMS.The comp. was not stable at stock speeds and would fail to boot at 203x11.No matter what I tried in the bios it would not improve. Now this was ram that would run endless loops of memtest at [email protected] without an error. After hours of frustration I pulled a pair of value ram out of another comp. and plugged it in.At basicly auto settings it would run 225x11 and 245x11@9:10 rock solid. Now with the ocz gold I run 24/7 at 250x11@1:1 without a single problem.I'm not recommending the ram nor will my bios settings help you.I'm just saying this board can be really flakey when it comes to ram.If you have some other ram or can b

orrow some give them a try.
