  1. Since we've got the same board, I was wondering if you could fill me in on the rest of your voltages in the BIOS....i.e. how far did you bump the MCP and the vFSB? Thanks in advance
  2. I've got a set too if u r interested.....PM me
  3. Maybe some more specifics.....are u looking for a single stick? I've got 2 x 512mb of the OCZ rev2 platinum memory that runs 2-2-2-5 timings at ddr400 and 2.5-3-3-6 timings at ddr500.
  4. Aww come on i bet if you try really hard you can get it into an SLI-DR.....heehee
  5. Found a RAM trader......UPS still available. Don't skimp on power backup peeps!!! Make an offer!
  6. Thanks but VX requires too much voltage for 2-2-2 timings at ddr400...updated first post to reflect. Unless your VX can do 2-2-2 at ddr400 2.8v or less? Don't even know if this is possible with that memory

  8. Shoulda been more clear.....I could care less about gaming for the time being. I am going to be spending the next 6 months or so extremely focused on school and am taking a break from gaming altogether. So all I need is something that will allow me to do basic internet stuff, word processing, etc on my 22" CRT. I'd like to spend $75 or so if I could. MAybe I'm being unrealistic?
  9. Hey guys, While I'm finishing up my grad school requirements I am going to be out of the gaming loop for awhile, so rather than have a fresh 7900gt sit in my machine and never use it, I decided to sell. But now I need a cheap pci-e card that can support 1600x1200, preferably with onboard memory. Any suggestions would be helpful, as I am clueless when it comes to the bottom end video card segment of the market. Thanks! BD24
  10. ^^^I agree......hard drives are always the bottleneck so get the fastest ones you can!
  11. ^^^You might see a small drop in benchmark numbers but as far as real world differences you will not notice the diff between 2-2-2-5 and 2-3-2-5
  12. see my thread here about raptors..... http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=55035
  13. personally i don't consider my rig stable until it has passed 24 hours of prime95 with 3dmark01 or 03 looping in the background. You pass that and u r really stable, IMHO. I have had prime95 fail by itself after 9-10 hours, never after 12 hours plus.
  14. Ive got an evga 7900gt superclocked and have similar issues when i try to run the card at too high of speed. Its really weird no other graphics card has ever acted this way in my hands when overclocked too much. Usually it would just do a hard freeze or a reboot. Anyways try to back off of the speeds that your clock comes at stock and see if it eliminates the problem. If it does, then RMA your card if it cant do the advertised speeds. EVGA is a great company for tech support too so give em a call. But yeah, first things first get yourself an approved power supply. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10854
  15. shouldn't be a problem on any of the LP boards....my 7900gt works fine with the EXPERT.
  16. When running SLI only the top card will have video output.....and usually only one of the outputs IIRC. It is normal.
  17. 2 hitachis in RAID 0 will smoke a single 74 gig raptor. IMHO, the only reaon to buy a raptor is to buy two of them and run them in RAID 0. I ran one of my raptors by itself for awhile and didnt really notice a significant performance increase over the single 80gig WD i used to have. Once I added another and ran them in RAID 0 thats when they really shined.
  18. Hey bro, check this out....was browsin around on the only other forum i post at and remembered you :-) http://forums.pcper.com/showthread.php?t=418815 Cheers!
  19. UT just means it doesn't come with all the fancy crap like the UV sleeving and the transport case and the frontx. The boards are identical otherwise.
  20. SI120 for $40 + ship here.....have done business with them before and they are really good, http://www.bestbyteinc.com/All_Products_by...K-TRI-SI12.html
