giordino Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) Hi all, I have a MSI GTX 960 2GB that I use to play at FPS and flight simulation games with a 27" monitor. Which video card I should buy to improve my FPS in new games like Sniper Elite 4? I should buy a card like GTX 1060/1070 or a GTX 970/980 are enough to play in FULL HD? Thanks Bye This is my PC config: CM690 MSI 970 Game AMD FX 8320BE HDWD CAVIAR BLUE 640GB SAMSUNG SSD 850 EVO 8GB DD3 PATRIOT Win10 MSI GTX 960 IIYAMA ProLite B2712HDS Razer DeathAdder Edited August 5, 2016 by giordino

ir_cow Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 +1 I agree unless you are planning on playing above 1080P. 27" seems fairly large for 1080p, what resolution are you playing at?
giordino Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Hi, thanks for your quick replies. I'm playing at 1920x1080. I prefer Nvidia cards Thanks
Wolfrider Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 A used 980 would max out all games at full hd, but has a higher tpd and power draw

Fight Game Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 A 960 to a 970 is hardly an upgrade at all though. The prices on 9 series will continue to drop for awhile, but if I were you, I'd get at least the 10 series. Actually, I'd get the amd 480 if you can find one in stock and very near $200. Hardcore253 Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 A 960 to a 970 is hardly an upgrade given the signicantly large price to performance improvement he could get going to a 1060/70 or 480, as well as being built for the next several years Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N915A using Tapatalk
