I'm guessing Ebay generally sides with the buyer but when you push them (and have evidence) they'll actually pay attention and reverse their decision most of the time. Record yourself testing the product, then putting it straight into the packaging. Hold onto that video for 30 days. If after 30 days they want to complain: They're SoL. You have the product in working condition being tested and proven, and without turning the video off you have it being packaged and sealed safely. They can troll and scam all they want: It's their word against your video. If the product truly was damaged in shipping, they either have buyer's insurance (which is not your obligation) or they're screwed.
