  1. I have the DQ6 and it was a great board with the 6400 I bought, instantly was able to boot 3.2ghz. I upgraded to the 6600 and now I cannot hit 400 for crap. I think the P5W DH Deluxe is supposed to be the best board out there for the 6600 or higher and the DQ6 the best for the 6400 and under. Im still holding out for a good bios tho.
  2. If you live in the UK. The best place my friends shop from is microdirect.co.uk. Heres a x2 4800 for 234 w/VAT. http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.a...mp;GroupID=1080 Thats still expensive compared to newegg but I'm afraid its the best you will be able to do in the UK. The other option is EBAY.
  3. I have an E6400 for sale. The processor was bought locally for 300.00 It was a temp chip to hold me over till I could get my hands on a 6600. It was used for 2 days. Being it is aI did take the time to overclock it to see how it did and it hit 3.2ghz Prime stable for 5 hours with 1.35V and air cooling. Works like a charm but I have to get rid of it to help pay the bill on the 6600. I am willing to part with it for 250.00 plus shipping via Paypal. Shipping charge depends on where you live. This price is non-negotiable. Please don't reply if you are going to haggle on the price as I'm already taking a 50.00 hit on it. As far as feedback goes I have 53 positives on Ebay ( JenMC0809 ) and am paypal verified. This will be available till Sunday night then its happy bidding on EBAY. ps. I also have a little AS5 taped to the box for the buyer (just enough for the chip) Steppings for those interested are Week-L625 Code-A422. Big pic
  4. Ok, i broke down and ordered the piece that it needs it will run fine after I replace it, so it is now fully working. $120 + shipping, shipping is estimated at 40.00 to Seattle, could be +-10 bucks. The blocks alone retail for 100.00. ON EBAY NOW
  5. I am selling a koolance pc2-650bk, CPU-300-H06 cpu clock and 2 CHC-35-D06 chipset and video card block. System is 14 months old and needs a new control board ( http://www.koolance.com/shop/produc...products_id=182) I just don't have the desire to use watercooling anymore otherwise I would fix it and keep it. I have all the manuals, parts and an extra bag of cooling fluid. Not sure what shipping will cost so if interested PM me with your prefered shipping method and zip code and I will let you know. Setup cost me over 300+ bucks and blocks go for 140 alone. If anyone is interested I'm looking for 100.00 and shipping for everything. I can get pics and will try to post them. I don't have heatware but I do have ebay feedback JenMc0809 - google it Located in Bergen County NJ if interested in pickup.
  6. 700-750 sounds fair. With all O/S and software.
  7. Im no insurance expert but I thought if the driver was insured and driving in another persons vehicle that the drivers insurance would pay for damage to the car cause it is considered property damage (liability).
  8. If I'm correct, I believe that socket 754 Clawhammer doesn't support Dual Channel RAM, so that would be a performance hit. I would go with the Venice. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
  9. Hows 50 shipped sound? As long as theres nothing wrong with it. Tried PM but your box is full.
  10. First of all your first post was confusing and written horribly, you never stated that you didnt need to beat falaris, 2nd dont pick on Byron, 3rd if you want to see some real nice scores check here www.forums.virtual-octane.net/index.php?showtopic=398&st=0
  11. ^^^ like they all said, nice components for a budget system, just make sure to get a good power supply with stable rails.
  12. if your looking in the 300ish range, i would suggest the 3200 Venice and a nice CPU cooler. As far as motherboards go, I've had no problems with my MSI K8n Neo2 Platinum, but I seem to be the rarity there, so I would suggest what everyone else will DFI nForce4.
  13. This should be a blessing for Aplle, they've taken the next step. If they are going to work on x86 architecture you may be able to use the next APPLE O/S on what used to be a WINDOWS only PC. They may find a way to f that up but if jobs can put his O/S on even 30% of the machines in the world he would put a serious damper on Gates sales. Or some of you that like to spend tons of money could put a windows O/S on your Apple. Only time will tell.
