How'd I Do?

Recommended Posts

I just bought a new PC, I hope I made the right choices. I wanted a semi-future proof computer, with overall a great performance for the price. I am not one for full graphical capability (1600x1200 res, 4xAA, 16AF, etc), I like a nice 1024x768, medium-high settings, and a smooth FPS. I'm also planning on overclocking (just a 200MHz increase is what I have in mind). By the way, this is my first build. Do you guys have any suggestions on how I should go about installing things (not hardware, but what order for software, Windows updates, etc)? Any other information for a first timer would be appreciated as well!

You might have trouble getting the 2gb to work... consider 1gb if you feel it'll be enough.

I only vaguely recall people having problems getting 2gb to be stable in dual channel mode. The OCZ stuff seems like the right choice though, so if it's possible, those will be the chips to use. But you might end up with 2GB with dual channel disabled.
