Fire-N-Ice Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 if the 6/23 bios is working well, i wouldn't flash to another just because it reports 1mb less. It may still be using it, just not reporting it.

Billy-P707 Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 reisichi, I have the same thing happening to me. 3dmarko3 and 3dmark05 report's my memory having 1023 megs not 1024. I think it's the bios too. 623-3?
heelix Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 I got back ~512M by going to the 623 BIOS. Granted, I've got 4x1G of RAM in my system - but the extra gig of physical RAM goes a long way.

Fire-N-Ice Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 If it was 1985, and you only had 16mb, and reported 15, then I would definelty wonder if it was just reporting wrong and actually was using it, or if it was reporting wrong and not using it. But with over a thousand, this is <0.098%. Less than one tenth of one percent!!! hahah, could I see some benchmarks before and after the fix please?!?!?! Tony420 Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Does it read 1023 in windows aswell? Im running 623 and cpu-z shows 1024. If it reads 1023 in windows for you I won't bother rebooting to check the bios(its been almost a week!)
reisichi Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Bumping thread. This bothers me for some odd reason. It reads as ~1023 in Windows, but only when I'm running 623-3. How odd.
memnoch7 Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 I think it has to do with how the software/bios/os round up or round down the numbers. it really makes no difference you still have fat gig of ram.
