Unknown device in bios - what is it ?

rig :

 

A64 4000+ SD , DFI SLI-DR , 2X512MB G.SKILL LE 437, AUDIGY 2 ZS PRO, 2XEVGA 6800 Gt's, PCP&C 510W SLI, 2X36GB RAPTORS.

 

now this is what i get everytime i install windows - what is it ? installed drivers to everything ....

in general - under the location - it says - ON PCI BUS ...

you find ACPI under power managment in the BIOS don't you??

I'd try the NF4 chipset driver to have that device installed............

 

Exactly. It seems like some ACPI driver is not installed. Could it be the AMD Cool'n Quiet ? If you have Cool'n Quiet enabled in BIOS, you should install AMD driver, if you haven't done so.

For overcloking purposes, I believe you should disable Cool'n Quiet. ;)

My guess is Marvell LAN. It seems, that since the 623 BIOS windows recognizes the Marvel LAN Adapter (Unknown Divice though) even if its disabled in the BIOS. It is like that on my machine and I saw that Problem in some other AMD Forum as well.
