LoN3R Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 turn thermal throttling off if u are overclocking run the lowest amount of options including Cool N Quiet so there are a lower amount of things to control
RGone Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 he is running NF2 chipset board and no coolNquiet. If had gone here and made the requested signature; it would be easier to know what board he has in use. RGone...
Oclock Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 this may sound dumb but what is thermal throttling. i always saw it in BIOS but never knew what it was. And im messing around with overclocking and like the guy above me i can only get to 225 is thermal throttling holding me back? J0d3r Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 sorry but i think that is more usefull read thread that signatures... and in the thread i write all my pc settings... btw flashed last official bios yesterday and all seems be right but OMG what are all those timmings settings? :S:S:S
Prostock62 Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Thermal Throttling determines the clock speed of the processor and you can adjust it in the bios or you can shut it off.in order to shut it you can not have the shipped bios on your board or your computer will not boot. Its more or less a power saveing feature. Also if your overclocking stick with the offical 6/19 bios, its more stable and you have better options. J0d3r Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 oh yes im going to follow the forum rules, but at first of all, that was my first post and i didnt know that rule, so plz u could be more "friendly" and help me a little, like all the other ppl dude thx u all ^^
RGone Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 could be more "friendly" and help me a little, like all the other ppl dude Dude I call it quite unfriendly on your part to reply > sorry but i think that is more usefull read thread that signatures... Very unfriendly in fact when the person who foots the bills for the forum makes the request that signatures reflect the current setup as accurately as possible in the interest of acquiring better help. I do not make the rules but neither am I here asking for help. It is not mandatory that you participate in the forum, but it is greatly suggested that you follow the rules set forth by the forum adminstrator. Of that I can assure you sir. RGone...
