freecableguy Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 Anything over 260FSB for me causes PCI-e lock problems. I am pretty sure of this as I can neither get into the BIOS (freezes up) or boot Windows if I go above this point. Strangely...and maybe this will help someone...I can get into the BIOS above 260FSB if I set the NB voltage to 1.6V and NO more. But with 2GB of memory I need 1.8V to get into Windows. Not only overclocking problems..voltages are simply crap! 1.475 to ave 1.39 Temperatures are simply crazy 37...38...49....32...51... all in few seconds... Questionaire Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 Well, I've been playing around with my board, seems I've got a "keeper"... besides some funky issues with voltage increasing? If I set DRAM to 2.2 my CPU voltage won't change at all, 2.1 it's fine. Also, I don't know why Windows 2000 still reports 3.0Ghz? I'm not familiar with this OS, it was a "rescue" install until I can get XP back on it. Memory timings are at 4-4-4-8 but they easily do 3-3-3-8, just an oversight on my part. Legolas337 Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Did some of the things mentioned before in the post and am able to get into windows at 3.9 Ghz, but not 100% stable. Data corruption is detected, but it doesnt crash windows!! So I am wondering if it just needs more voltage to something or if thats just not going to work. Any good Bios for OCing that anyone knows of would come in handy, being that they took the 04/07/2005 BIOS off of DFI's download page. Thanks for any input on this board. I cannot find where to set the FSB to RAM divider, as this might help me out a little. Right now it is at 3:4 with the FSB at 260 and the RAM at 346.7 at 4-4-4-10 timings. It is not prime95 stable, but does do the superPI 1MB calc in only 34 secs. Any higher on the FSB and it bluescreens while trying to load windows. Questionaire Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 There is no "official" place to change the RAM Divider, under The Genie Bios Settings change the DDR2 setting from AUTO to DDR2 400 and that will make the ram run 1:1 (even when overclocking).
