madmonkeymayhem Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 I get the same problem as well. Mostly when windows boots though  I've tried all of the above but with no luck.
anchorman Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 As for the undervolting, this is normal for DFI, my board does the same thing with my Antec 480w True Blue PSU, everything undervolts, but I've noticed it doesn't cause instability for me. Guest jaco Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 anchorman, your mobile xp needs 1.975v  to run 220*11,5 ?
MarcusOCZ Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 jaco, Just cause it doesn't work when overclocked doesn't mean it's faulty. If it happens at stock settings, i agree with you. There can be so many variables to what you are seeing. Is the videocard waterclocked as well? How was windows installed? With Apic? Does it ever lock up in memtest? Hi jaco, His: Thermalright SP-97 w/ 92mm Enermax/80mm coolermaster case fan on top w/ spacer @ 2700RPM. Yours: "watercooled". Uhhh, what's the purpose of watercooling? anchorman Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 Thats with CPC on, with CPC off I can get 240 FSB max, but with either or, I used 1.975v, and 220 FSB wasn't even stable with CPC on, so I switched back to 240x10.
anchorman Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 Yeah, btw, i get 28C on 1.975c idle, and 35C max load, how do you like them apples?
uwackme Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 Anchor.... until those BH5's are well burn'd in you will need CPC off. But eventually

Does it ever lock up in memtest? videocard is not watercooled , but i have a zalman HP80 with a fan.I never tried to install windows without APIC. You just disable it in BIOS and install windows ? No lockups in memtest. How many passes do you need to call it stable ? -jaco
madmonkeymayhem Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 Does your graphics card share the same interrupt as your RAID controller?
elts_drac Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 One point that BTank raised seemed to be over looked is the VDIMM controller and mosfets right next to the DIMM slots. The VDIMM controller can approach 80c and the mosfets between 60-75c cooliing these has shown a large improvement in many cases regarding stability @ 3v or higher. Guest jaco Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 Hello all, My LanParty is at the testbench again. hardware : - DFI LanParty rev B - Xp m 2600 - coolermaster sink & fan - 256 Mb TwinMos BH-5 - Maxtor 40Gb pata - Geforce3 Ti200 - DVD-rom - 300W noname PSU WinXP is installed with APIC disabled. I installed all software in the correct order, like in the 'Important Information - Look Here!' -thread. Bios 31/1 Current settings 200*11 , vcore 1,6v all other voltages 'auto'. Memory 2-2-2-2-6 I will add some fans for extra cooling of the mosfets. No nasty freezes or lock-ups anymore , system seems rock solid. Not sure if my problem is solved now , I need to do more testing ! -jaco
