Ok OCC, what happened? Around 3:45 CST there were nearly 23,000 guests on OCC.

This is a record high, and the last time this happened, OCC was on Google News. The time before that, Martymcfly had posted something from here on Digg, which became popular. Generally something occurs to bring this many guests in and bring the servers screeching nearly to a halt.

Actually the record high was in Jan with 48000 I had the server reset the number to 0 so we could have a more recent record high.

I think it was the 9800GTX review. I was keeping an eye on stats from work throughout the day and it crept up slowly. Perhaps a large affiliate posted the review link to us?
