Tetedeiench Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 First of all : admins, i don't know if this will be considered as spam or not... OCCT being afree and already used in this forum, i think not If it is, feel free to delete this whole thread and accept my apologies I'm the guy behind OCCT, and i thought i should inform you, as i did when i stopped the old OCCT V0, that development around OCCT started again, and it now reached stable version, named 1.1.0. The new version is named "Perestroika", as it was totally rewritten, improved, and it a reference to Gorbatchev's "Perestro
Verran Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Wow! It's great to hear that OCCT is back! After your last posts here, I know quite a few people were bummed that it was being discontinued. I'll be giving this a shot real soon, and I'm sure I'm not the only one Thanks for the update!
Tetedeiench Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Wow! It's great to hear that OCCT is back! After your last posts here, I know quite a few people were bummed that it was being discontinued. I'll be giving this a shot real soon, and I'm sure I'm not the only one Thanks for the update! Knowing that OCCT starts with OCC, i couldn't do much but inform you guys Back then, i had to stop OCCT... i just started working, and had other important stuff in mind. I was a bit discouraged by the amount of work that was required to adapt OCCT to Multi-core CPUs as well... But all that work is beyond me now, and OCCT PT (Perestroika's nickname) took more dev time than OCCT V0 I recoded almost everything, including the graphs, even if they show up the same, they *will* change in the near future I can already tell you that OCCT's next version will include a memory analyzer a *tad* similar to memtest, but under windows, and, being under windows, less performant, but still working (it'll eat up all the available memory minux a few %, and start shuffling inside, checking for memory errors). Graphs should be a bit revamped (better scales on the left side, etc), and i'm trying to find someone with 3D programming knowledge (Shaders in fact) so that i can load GPUs as well during OCCT's test (which will then become the ultimate Power Supply tester). Tetedeiench Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 (edited) Oh, and if someone could update the "Overclocking Essential Software" thread, as it is still pointing to OCCT V0, it would be great :) That is, if you tink OCCT PT is better than OCCT V0... but i truly think there's no match right now Edited February 9, 2007 by Tetedeiench
Makaveli Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I'm looking forward to giving OCCT PT a try as well Thanks for the post!

I really do think "honouring" is a bit too much though I'm just a programmer trying to make use of its free time ^^ Thanks for the cheers ! Uber Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 i was looking for software to stress this Q6600 i have sitting here, and was having trouble finding anything that would load 4+ cores, OCCT to the rescue! Thanks for the update, and the hard work.

Thanks for the update, and the hard work. I've had good results on Quadcores Actually, OCCT is almost the only one supporting Quad-core CPUs i know of

I just wanted to second this OCCT is a truly great piece of stress testing software IMO. It is (/was, I dont OC much, if at all any more) my favourite actually, and I am glad to hear that you have got some time to continue developing it! It is very nice to see the developer posting on this very forum B:)
