nan0click Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Wireless sucks for gaming. Saitek Eclipse is what I use, the first one, I like it... Simple, heavy, good keys, lights up, pretty Overall a nice keyboard, been trucking along for over a year of heavy use...
mrsinister Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 g15 brother wireless and gaming are pretty much contradictory words now.
SMeeD Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 (edited) The just plain old Saitek Gaming keyboard is very durable. Ive had this thing for three or four years and the backlight still works (its for looks more than functionality) and same goes for all of the keys. The only thing I can complain about is the wrist guard comes off easily on the left, but that is my fault. sYstEmATiC Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 g15 brother wireless and gaming are pretty much contradictory words now. i agree G15.... but wireless is getting much better, i cant tell a difference between my g7 wireless mouse and any other high performance wired mouse as far as response times go. the logitech mx5000 combo deal has a decent wireless (bluetooth) keyboard but i havent been able to find that keyboard anywhere by itself. Kash Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Another vote for the Saitek keyboard. I've got the silver gaming keyboard but I have to disagree with the lights only being for looks. I find it quite useful in the dark because it at least gives an outline of the keys. I don't have much use for the additional pad that comes with the gaming version, so the Eclipse is a good investment, and that one's backlight actually IS useful as it goes through the keys rather than just around them. Overall, the Saitek design is very good for both gaming and casual use. I've been using it for years and definitely plan on getting the same one when this one bites the dust
Makaveli Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 I vote for the G15. It's simply awesome. The only negative is that the paint is starting to wear off, not really noticeable unless you look really close. I've had mine for almost a year and a half now or so. But the LCD is simply badass. Eh, I'm not complaining. I didn't really get it in a few weeks of it's release. But now that I inspect it, it's a lot better than what I thought it was. Maybe the lighting was different in this basement when I was looking. But it is still the nicest keyboard that I have ever owned and seen. My friend has a Saitek and he says he'd get mine if he had the space on his desk.
