Need Help On Choosing Between 2 Cpu Fan Coolers

Im thinking of getting one of these 2 fans that are posted on the link below and i wanted to know if they are any good in quality and silence ?

 

I have a lga775 socket and a 940 pentium d on there by the way..

Those should both be pretty quiet if that's what you're after.

the first one looks like a stock intel cooler design lol... the 2nd one looks like an 80mm heatpiped sink with a 92mm fan on top... coolermaster only have a handful of decent sinks, and those two aren't gonna cut it for a 940 imo

Thanks im just going to go with something simple to replace my coolermaster cm12v which started becoming noisy..By the way it has cooled my pentium d just fine but is making too much noise...

I would recommend you go with the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7, I have on in the HTPC downstairs, its awesome and cheap. That coolermaster probably won't perform as good

Yes you're right the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro looks like a quality fan plus it has great reviews ..I'll put that one on top of my list ..

i was also looking at some other 92mm socket 775 fans and what would be you guys opinion on the quality and ease of installation ?

ps..on the blue gigabyte it says that it has fan control and i wanted to know how would i be able to control the fan ? is there a switch on it or something ?
