I doubt its the cpu, from what I have read its probably the MB holding you back. Those nvidia chipsets just do not perform as good as intels new chipset, if you want SLI thats the price you pay. They take an even bigger hit with the quad cores, and really get hit very hard with the new 45nm quads. Also from what I have read its probably not going to change because Nvidia will not give Intel a SLI license, so Intel is not going to give Nvidia any performance....
