sasybotnoodlehead Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Yo, I've just slipstreamed a Windows XP Pro without SP1 with Service Pack 2 onto a CD and then I am going to use nLite to slipstream my drivers and etc. for my formatting Question is, If I slipstreamed XP Pro + SP2 with the original not having SP1 integretated, will it still boot and install WinXP Pro? If you followed the procedure correctly...yes. SP2 contains all of the fixes in SP1. I made a CD the same way and have never had any problems
romeo55 Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 sp2 includes all the stuff from sp1. If you ever tried upgrading service packs from MS, if you had sp1, the sp2 download would only be around 70 megs, if you didn't, it would be HUGE So make sure you download the full sp2 package
Bleeble Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Yeah, it'll work. That's what I did. Just make sure you have the boot catalog when you burn the CD.
