Ste Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 The fan could be dieing, there also could be a power flucturation to it causing it to spin to fast, you can try, While the computer is off, reseating it an reconnecting it to see if that makes any difference, but if it continues and it really bothers you, replace it. suchuwato Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 The bearings are shot, or there's too much dust and crap in it.

Ste Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Why not clean it out first then see what happens, use compressed Air.
bigred Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 and now people wonder why most mobo's have a bigger heatsink and no fan? hmmm maybe because those cheesy little fans die?

cheesewiz6 Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 (edited) my chipset fan sounds like a bumblebee unless i put a 7v limiter on it... :| 587828[/snapback] I haave that same board if the fan is strait square when you look at it it's the older fan if it is turned to a diamond shape then its the new fan. The old fan is a bad design if you call asus they will send you a new one free of charge. They may even send you a replacement for a new one.
