CmpFreak88 Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I've heard of Thermaltake before... Rosewill I've heard of and they're not that great from what I know... With a high end card you need a high end Power supply I spent the money on mine and it's perfect. Bad power supplies can kill systems! Why do people doubt the importance of the almighty power supply! anthony Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 (edited) heh neither. You never go cheap on the PSU. Too often is the PSU forgoten, it is one of the more important parts of your rig. What is your price range, we will find you a MUCH better one. Oh Rosewil.. Tt? too bad we dont have a barf smily. editx2, oh there it is Edited September 7, 2005 by roadkill
martymcfly Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 If you didnt get the 6800 yet, don't. You cannot pair a 6800 with a 2000+. Bottlenecks galore.
lilkev715 Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 You cannot pair a 6800 with a 2000+ Well you could but as you have already mentioned it would be a major bottleneck. As for the PSU's, neither.
CNUco2007 Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 personally i only use PC Power & Cooling now but they are a bit more expensive (yet well worth it). I'm gonna recommend Antec or OCZ Powerstream. The two you have there aren't gonna cut it. Never underestimate the importance of a quality PSU. Spend the money now and you wont be spending it on a new mobo later on lol.
Shaggy Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 a few of the psu gurus told me about this one. i have yet to try it, but it looks promising and is moderately priced. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817189003
