Will Dual Cores Become Mainstream?

The argument is moot. 10 years is a LONG time technology-wise. Look at where we were 10 years ago. 486s and Pentium 1s running barely 100MHz. CD-ROMS were just introduced. Looking at how fast technology is progressing now, who knows what we'll be looking at in 10 years.

 

Oh, and I want some of that pie.....

10 years? i could imagine the way computer chips are designed and built being totally different from anything today. 10 years ago what were the home computers being built? I remember my parents getting a pent 75mhz with a passive heatsink on it, so yah, a lot happens in 10 years.
