GregP24 Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 To get a max OC out of your mem, you will need to get A64 tweaker. The Neo2 is a great board, but lacks alot of important mem settings in the BIOS. Since your on a vencie, 300x9 shouldn't be hard to do at all.
aaronamd Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 are you kidding me? because it's got 2.85 volts vdimm and tops out at 285. BARELY stable enough to get in windows. could a64tweaker help that much? or do I need to raise vcore?
GregP24 Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 What are your timings? Try setting [email protected]. You won't need much voltage to get your TCCD running fast. Only UTT/BH needs lots of volts.
aaronamd Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 timmings are 3-4-4-8@ 2.85 volts but my neo 2 undervolts so should be close to what you said EDIT: I removed the divider and dropped voltage to 2.75 and it suddenly became MORE overclockable? caffeinejunkie Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 Yeah patriot memory is pretty crazy stuff my non tccd pc4000 would make it to 315 stable with decent timings all thanks to the godly ammount of voltage that dfi gives stock
aaronamd Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 any advice on getting this stuff higher?
GregP24 Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 That is correct, TCCD will often become unstable with more than 2.7.2.8v. YOur best results will be at around 2.7v. Use A64 tweaker to set a TREF of 3072 when you boot into windows. That should get you nice and stable.
aaronamd Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 i'm trying that now, do i have to set it everytime I get to windows? well I clikyed that box and typed it in with the keypad and it seems stabler, running super pi right now.
confuzzedintelguy Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 (edited) Your timings are to loose i have some pdp sitting over on my shelf that wasnt even the XBL and it did 285 at 2.9v with 2.5-4-4-7 timings give the 2.5-4-4-7 a try see how it works out. I would more then likely be able to help you more if i didnt kill the pdp you see 3.3v with no air flow over TCCD can kill it quick , right now i'm useing some GSKILL DDR600 LA and it does 290 with 2.7v and 2.5-3-3-6 timings rated timings are 2.5-4-4-8 at DDR600 1T Edited July 28, 2005 by confuzzedintelguy
