ok i got the retail version of HL2/css ok. I lent the CD's to a friend because he is stupid and left his out so his dog got ahold of them. (he had the nerve to get mad at the dog when he left them on the couch of all places). Now i had to reformat at a lan last night because my PC wasnt running right (would only run solitare lol).....now my friend is on vacation and wont be back home for another 3 days..... I WANT TO PLAY CSS...

how do i get it to download because when i enter the cd key it gives me a "Put your retail CD's in the drive" BS.... now i thought there was a way you could download it instead of using the CD's. is this possible or am i just losing my head?

Thanks,

Brian

Does anybody else have a copy of it? You might be able to just borrow their cd's. And, are you just implying that you would download it and then use that when it asks for a cd? I suppose that could work. If you use your original cd key of course.

You just have to login to your steam account. Everything should download automatically.

speaking of steam, my lil bro was making an acc, but during the creation i cancled it because i wanted to put it under my steam acc i alrdy got. now when i try to register my cs key, it says its already taken... i hate steam. i even tried to tell them what happened, and nothing happened... screw steam. and cs: condition zero sucks cuz it will not run on my rig no matter countless reformatts, same with quake 3.
