ClayMeow Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 I never played any BF game, but this definitely looks promising. In your opinions, do you think I should check it out? The only shooters I play/played are HL2/CS:S and Far Cry. (and technically I played the ut2k4 demo, which I liked). But I don't usually go for the "realistic" shooters, though I did play Hidden & Dangerous (but that's more tactical squad). And don't just say, the game rocks...if you could provide reasons why, that'd be better. Plus, do you think I'll be at a disadvantage not having played the originals? Like I go online, will I be pwned?
Desktop-pro Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 dang! I wish i still had a gaming computer. I love BF1942!!

CNUco2007 Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 if ur 9800 died, what are you using now? just out of curiousity, when they recommend cpu speeds, is it based on intels? cuz they recommend a 2.5Ghz, where mine is 2.4Ghz. however it will perform like an intel's 3.8Ghz (supposedly)
cchalogamer Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 id bet $500 it's based on intel speed. Idk cant say if the game will be good, if Helo flying is as n00bish as in BF:Vietnam then ill be sticking with Desert Combat. I mean dang ppl lets require a LITTLE skill to fly. I don't think you'll miss much not having played the 1942 or vietnam. Idk cant say if the game will be good, if Helo flying is as n00bish as in BF:Vietnam then ill be sticking with Desert Combat. I mean dang ppl lets require a LITTLE skill to fly. 486114[/snapback] I saw a q & a with one of the developers, who said the helo's control would be something between DC and BF:V. I liked BF:V better then DC, while it did err on the side to too easy. the choppers in DC were not realistic at all. only about the upper 50% of the throttle was useful for any kind of lift.
