99cent Mousepad

Recommended Posts

Taken from PCPP forums....(an aussie mag =P):

"How to obtain the Endless pad

Step 1. go to coles/safeway/iga

Step 2. buy a "go green"/"eco" bag

Step 3. take out the black plastic mat used to line the inside.

Step 4. Use double sided tape to stick it to your desk.

Step 5. be amazed that it cost you 99c rather than $30+ from pccasegear

Let me break it down further for you. Coles' version apparently is EXACTLY the same material used as EverGlide. It even has 2 different smooth/rough sides.

Safeway/woolworths version is smoother than coles.

IGA version has one side of the coles mat and one side of the safeway mat, so if you cant decide, go to iga.

A word of warning.

The coles mats can tend to buckle so inspect the bags for the flatest mat you can find. They can be ironed with a piece of paper over them to flatten them out more before you tape it down

The Safeway mats used to be atrocious, with raised lumps all over them. I find they are mostly fine now, but better to just runs your hand over the surface to see if its suitable.

The IGA mats suffer from teh safeway affliction too, but even less so.

Final note: Spread the word people. you can have an awesome mouse surface for a dollar. Seriously, you wont understand how companies like everglide have a market at all when you can buy their product for a dollar from a supermarket."
