urvaius Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 I ordered my new athlon 64 stuff today. I ordered the msi neo2 platinum and a athon64 3200. I am trying to make sure I have everything ready for the switch when it comes. I ordered a new sata hard drive also. My question is with my nforce2 chipset i had to put the sata drivers on a floppy and install them when I installed windows by pressing f6 etc. Do I need to do the same thing with this new motherboard? I can't seem to find the drivers for the motherboard and sata. all it says to use are the nvidia platform drivers for the chipset. that won't fit on a floppy. I read the manual online and checked all of their drivers. can someone help me out. I know its probably simple and when it gets here I will know. Just need a little advance as I have to ship out my old mobo and cpu to my sisters husband in beiruit.

Nuclear Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 You shouldn't need any disks or drivers when installing an OS on the Neo2. It will recoginize your drives just fine, and the install will go smooth.
