O(V)eGA_l2el) Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 I am going to try this out; Trillian is currently installed.
d3bruts1d Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 Ya, after 1.4rc4 I've started using it. 1.4 final is due out Monday. Trillian still has many things I like better, however IM2 plans to offer most of what Trillian Pro has and still remain free.
d3bruts1d Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 Well, did you ever give it a try? 1.4 was released on Monday... I'm using it, though I still have several bugs and other issues with it. Looks like they are planning on a 1.5 release by the end of the month.
BiPolar Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 I briefly tried it, but I'm still a GAIM man. So, it doesn't do the video conferencing et al, but it's interface and list management is much nicer for me.
suchuwato Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 don't like it, installed it and it screwed up. kept saying someone has added me every 10 seconds
d3bruts1d Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 @lego: What version? What protocal (AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, MSN)? - Know MSN does this a lot for me on Trillian (can't get MSN to work on IM2). @BiPolar: Ya... I like Trillian's list/contact managaement features better still... and a lot of other things so far. :/
suchuwato Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 it was on msn. it worked, but kept adding the same person over and over. icq worked ok
markiemrboo Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 I used it ages ago... it crashed way too much I'm quite happy using amsn on BSD and normal boring MSN on Windows though.
d3bruts1d Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 (edited) @Lego: Heh... that's what I thought. Thanks. Trying to get feedback from OCC Members to provide to the IM2 team. *Edit: I've never really used just MSN.... Since I have a number of contacts on all messengers (mainly ICQ and AIM), it's more practicle for me to use somethling like IM2, Trillian, Odigo, GAIM, etc. that can combine all of the clients into one program. Plus it get's rid of the ads on AIM and ICQ. *Edit #2: For those of you who don't know Instant Mesenger 2 (IM2) is a new program that combines all otehr chat programs into one (AIM, ICQ, IRC, Yahoo, MSN, etc.). It can be downloaded here. Edited November 4, 2004 by d3bruts1d

markiemrboo Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 Me too. The earlier versions crashed maybe like once a week. I've never had the newer versions crash on me. Ever... So all is good.
